Nimlok Webcam Brings Exhibit to Customers: Commitment to Total Customer Satisfaction Drives Innovation

Niles, IL, June 4, 2007

Nimlok, a leading trade show solution provider, is now offering its customers a webcam solution: a high-tech way to see their exhibits at any stage of production from the comfort and convenience of their own office. Nine Web cameras have been installed in strategic places throughout Nimlok's Illinois manufacturing facility and allow customers to preview their finished exhibit without having to leave their chair. Nimlok webcam represents yet another way in which this industry leader is raising the bar on quality assurance and customer satisfaction.

This virtual approach to review custom trade show exhibits represents a true cost-savings to customers. The Nimlok webcam solution enables a larger customer team to view the exhibit, as travel restrictions are no longer a mitigating factor. Graphics can now be reviewed and approved virtually, thus expediting the overall approval process. It also provides customers with additional peace of mind, knowing they can see their exhibits in real time, at any time during the production process, regardless of geographic proximity to Nimlok.

"This webcam solution is truly state-of-the-art and represents how deeply committed we are to our customers' complete satisfaction," said Bob Scupin, chief operating officer of Nimlok. "We wanted to give all of our customers, regardless of their geographic location, the opportunity to see and approve their exhibit. With the webcam solution, we can now bring the exhibit to their office, saving our customers time and money and giving them peace of mind."

The process is simple. Working with their Nimlok partners, customers log onto Nimlok's secure Web site. They then use their computer keyboards to direct the appropriate cameras to view their trade show exhibit in its current stage of production. Customers are able to see the entire process, from pre-production to a complete, fully-set up exhibit and everything in between.

Unlike more rudimentary set-ups that feature stationary video cameras, the Nimlok webcam solution features cameras that can be moved, remotely, at the customer's command. Camera navigation is simple and can be executed in three different ways:

  • With direct controls, customers can move the cameras themselves, panning, tilting and zooming to see various aspects of the booth more closely
  • Using camera presets, customers can use a pull-down menu to quickly go to named preset camera positions.
  • The visual frame setting allows customers to click on one of the four edges of the image and move the camera in that direction.

The images can be saved as snap shots or video clips. Snap shots can be e-mailed and printed, allowing them to be shared easily with other members of the customer's team. Video clips are saved as a series of JPG images and can be viewed on the Nimlok webcam site.

The Nimlok webcam is built on cutting-edge technology that allows extremely high-resolution images to be broadcast over the Internet. Fine details such as wood grain and Pantone colors can be seen and approved with ease. Shipping labels can even be proofread for accuracy.

"I did not believe it would work. I didn't believe it would be possible to approve graphics via the Web. But I am a believer now!" said Tate Cantrell of Design Displays, a Nimlok distributor. "I could see the subtle gradient color differences; I could see the text and PMS colors well enough to determine a match even on a die-sub banner. This will be remarkable for my clients."

Since its founding, Nimlok has grown to become a worldwide leader in the display and trade show exhibit industry. With more than 200 authorized distributor partners in 56 countries worldwide, they offer an extensive Custom Solution product line as well as portable and pop-up displays, visual communication systems and other exhibit accessories. Manufacturing facilities are located in Chicago, Toronto and the U.K. To learn more about Nimlok, visit www.nimlok.com.
